Elegance in Motion
Vosges Retro Auto Club organized the third edition of the Automobile Elegance Contest on June 14 and 15 at the Thermal Park in Vittel.
This photo series shows not only vintage cars, but also the people who bring them to life – with passion, humor and a touch of theatrical nostalgia.
The participants of the festival were dressed in costumes from the 1900s to the 1950s: women in long dresses and elegant hats, men in classic suits and top hats. Their manners and gestures embodied the bourgeois elegance of a bygone era.
In one of the photos, the participants of the festival are sitting in a noisy, smoking 1898 Ford, wearing black top hats – they look like characters from an old postcard.
Another highlight: a smiling couple in an open-top car. Both are wearing vintage leather helmets and goggles from that era. Their car shakes, rumbles and smokes, but no one seems to mind – quite the contrary, the spectators are delighted.
In this series, I aim to capture the emotions that surround this retro festival: the smiles, the charm, the human warmth. These aren’t just cars – they’re time machines, driven by the pride and style of their owners.
