Tintin Törncrantz / Columnist – Sweden
I’m someone else. I grew up in the far reaches of the beyond, in a Twin Peaks without the glamour, cherry pies and fascinating oddities. Today, I live in one of the most oppressive and violent capitals in the Western world, Stockholm, where talent and erudition are met with nothing but contempt and total ignorance (hello Fotografiska et al.). As a writer and critic since the early 1990s, I have an existential desire to present my precious readers with the most beautiful and meticulously composed works in the world. And you should know how much I love the ardent humanity of Kate Tempest’s song “People’s Faces”, in which she humbly asks, “Couldn’t we do things differently?”.
