Shared beaches
Every summer, after a hard year’s work, city dwellers migrate to our beaches to reconnect with nature and the great outdoors. Facing the sea, the cradle of life, they settle down to feel the power of the sun and the caress of the wind amid the dull roar of the eternal surf. Some measure themselves against the force of the elements, while others travel in their dreams beyond the horizon.
Since 2011, I have been witnessing these great reunions. I try to capture the rare moments when the choreography of moving bodies, the changing magic of light, and the waltz of clouds come together fortuitously to construct my images.
Through these photographs, I wish to convey the beauty of the world, the sharing of happiness, and the temporary harmony between humans and nature.
