This is not a pear !
When I first saw a still life by the renowned photographer Denis Brihat—a pear—I immediately thought of a woman’s body and promised myself that one day I would create my own interpretation. So, a few years ago, when a friend introduced me to an acquaintance, I instantly recalled the image I had in mind and asked her to pose for me. The next day, the photo was taken, and I quickly conceived the idea of a series. Showing the female body, but in a different way. Women of all ages, from 24 to 76, with different skin tones, textures, physiques, and life experiences. The photo shoots were wonderful moments of sharing and exchange, where the models shared their feelings, and all of them derive a certain satisfaction from the experience. A series of sixteen photos was first presented at a group exhibition. At the opening, nine people came to see me to tell me that they would like to participate in this work and now the series includes twenty-five prints, presented as in the first presentation in the form of a five-by-five square.
