Post Summer Beach & Sea
The photos that make up the Post Summer Beach & Sea series were taken in the fall of 2021, within a few weeks. From September to November, from the last hours of good weather to the first rains, they capture the nostalgia for summer. They freeze the sea and the sky which darken, the beach which is gradually deserted, the deckchairs which are put away, the merry-go-rounds which stop turning, the candy trucks which lower the curtains, reliefs of a season gone. The photographer, David Deloustal, based in Marseille, wanted to immortalize this fleeting time when the beautiful days pass like a trail, a period of transition, melancholy, calm and serene. The sea and the beach have finally come back to themselves.
