Ranadeva Singh was born in 1986 in Imphal, in the Manipur region of India. He came to France in September 2011 to earn a professional photography degree, which he received in May 2012. Before that he had studied mechanical engineering in Bangalore. He has always been interested in design, nature, fashion and the arts in general, so he decided to pick up photography.
Today I am a fashion photographer. I like to capture the expressions of models in order to suspend time.
I hope that my photos will have a life beyond the *click*, that they will endure throughout time and become a part of it. That is what fascinates me most.
I hope that my work is consistent.
The Alain Resnais film Last Year at Marienbad is one of my biggest inspirations.
So is the work of Nadar, Paolo Roversi, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Struth, Jeff Wall, Viviane Sassen, Inez & Vinoodh and Mert & Marcus.
