The Fabulous Destiny of Dainaly
Dainaly loves elephants and her “home” is the circus. Dainaly is special because her sky is a striped awning, her room is in a trailer and her brother is a superhero. But she is also special because she is autistic. To the outside world, Dainaly is “different”. But what does it mean to be “different” in the confines of the circus, where Dainaly has always lived, closed in her inner universe but integrated into a nomadic world in which “normality” does not exist? Dainaly’s “reality” takes on a strangely different dimension where the boundaries between what is true and what is only imagined blur, a universe of princesses and fairies, of valiant knights in shining armor and cartoon characters, a universe of lights and shadows, of affections and fears, of sudden disturbances and moments of happiness.
