“You don’t want to buy a book? Today I’m taking 30% off”
Jean Pierre B runs a bookstore in the 6th district not far from where I live.
For two years, his store has almost always been closed. From time to time, rather at the end of the day, his shop is open, but this should not exceed two to three times a month, or even less.
Yesterday when I got home I found him sitting on the threshold, we can no longer get inside, over the years he has piled up so many books that the living space has been reduced to that necessary to open the door and the space for a stool.
I stopped to say hello, he asked me if I didn’t want to buy a book, adding “today I’m taking 30% off.”
