The International Center of Photography (ICP) will host the fifth annual Photobook Fest from May 8-10, spanning the entirety of the museum and school. Over the course of one weekend, ICP will welcome over 75 publishers from around the world, bringing the best in photobook making to the Lower East Side.
Building upon four successive years of growth and success, this year’s festival will be the most ambitious to date, featuring leading publishers across 90+ tables of photobooks. The festival will be augmented by in-person programming throughout the weekend with leading photographers and photobook makers in conversation about the aesthetics and economics of the medium, in tandem with over 50 in-person photographer book signings for new and notable releases. Additionally, Photobook Fest 2026 will feature a series of talks on new photobooks releases, events for ICP alumni and members, drop-in workshops, a photobook swap, darkroom tours and more.
ICP has long championed the photobook and its history by maintaining one of the most comprehensive libraries in the world, while also supporting contemporary production through events and programming, with Photobook Fest, first held in 2022, becoming its marquee event.

About The International Center of Photography
The International Center of Photography (ICP) is the world’s leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture. Cornell Capa founded ICP in 1974 to champion ‘concerned photography’—socially and politically minded images that can educate and change the world. Through exhibitions, education programs, community outreach and public programs, ICP offers an open forum for dialogue about the power of the image. Since its inception, ICP has presented more than 700 exhibitions, provided thousands of classes and hosted a wide variety of public programs. ICP launched its new integrated center at 84 Ludlow Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side in January 2020. ICP pays respect to the original stewards of this land, the Lenape people and other Indigenous communities. Visit icp.org to learn more about the museum and its programs.
