Preview

On Thursday March 8, 2018, the non-profit photojournalistic organization #Dysturb celebrates women as well as its 4th anniversary at Ground Control in Paris from 6pm to 9pm as well as at the International Center of Photography Museum in New York from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

In Paris, a round table led by Marie Sumalla, photo editor of Le Monde is set up; with Alice Pfeiffer, gender descriptor; Olga Kravets, multimedia journalist rewarded for her high-impact documentary on Pussy Riots; and Agnes Dherbeys, a photojournalist who observed the phenomenon of adoption on the side of biological mothers.

In New York, a presentation of their main paste-up campaigns from the last 4 years will be on view. Members of the American team Benjamin Petit and Kyla Woods will be joined by Simone Salvo from the Magnum Foundation, Krisanne Johnson, Amr Alfiqy and Ismail Ferdous, documentary photographers and contributors to #Dysturb.

After a first success in September 2017 at the photo festival in Perpignan, the organization will also launch the fundraising campaign for the second issue of the #Dysturb journal, dedicated to women, spearheading our #womenmatter global campaign. The paper will talk about the moral and physical violence women suffer, but also the dreamers and rebels who inspire change. There will also be a live performance by the artist Johanna Tordjman aka the Tordjmaniac, re-enacting the codes of street art, and passionate women and men who will share with you this vision of a world in constant evolution.
