From 6 to 12 October, Bayeux will be hosting the 32nd Bayeux Calvados-Normandie War Correspondents’ Prize. A tribute to the work and commitment of great reporters. It’s also an opportunity for the public to meet and exchange ideas.

JON LEE ANDERSON, PRESIDENT OF THE JURY FOR THE 32nd EDITION
American Jon Lee Anderson, 68, internationally renowned war correspondent and author of the best-selling Che Guevara,
will chair the jury. He has worked for The New Yorker since 1998.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Photo, radio, television and written press reports dealing with a conflict situation or a news item concerning the
freedoms and democracy must be submitted by 5 June for the 2025 selection. They must have been produced between 1 June 2024 and 31 May 2025, and each will be entered for a prize of €7,000.

The Bayeux Calvados-Normandie War Correspondents’ Prize is awarded for reporting on a conflict situation or its consequences for civilian populations, or on a current event concerning the defence of freedoms and democracy. The report must have been produced between 1 June 2024 and 31 May 2025 (except for the Young Reporter Prize: between 1 June 2023 and 31 May 2025). A prize of €7,000 will be awarded in each category.
