From October 5 to 11, Bayeux will host the 33rd Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for War Correspondents. A tribute to the work and commitment of leading war correspondents, it also provides an opportunity for meetings and discussions with the public.
❱ LYSE DOUCET, PRESIDENT OF THE JURY FOR THE 33RD EDITION
A familiar face and voice of the BBC, Lyse Doucet, 67, has accepted the Bayeux Award’s invitation to chair the jury’s deliberations this October. “A great responsibility,” which the Canadian journalist, herself a 2014 Bayeux Prize winner, fully understands.
❱ CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Photo, radio, television, and print reports covering a conflict situation or current event related to the defense of freedoms and democracy must be submitted before June 5 for consideration in 2026. They must have been produced between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026, and each is eligible for a €7,000 prize.
