„Return to Another Shore” is the story about the experience of going deep to forgotten places. Sometimes it is no longer possible to return to places to which one would like to return, but the road itself opens and leads somewhere else. To another shore.
Experiencing places of nature becomes a substitute for exploring forgotten places within oneself. This is story about longing, closeness, loneliness. About diving deep into the primary places of separation. Where presence and experiencing emptiness help to touch what is deeply hidden and bring back echoes of forgotten places. Diving under water, into the womb of nature, initiates processes referring to going below the surface, becomes a descent into the subconscious, to the state of rawness and beauty, the stage of contact with self, the beginnings and memory of the body.
Lonely journeys to Norway – into deep of fjords and Oman – into deep of canyons, also become journeys into the depths of self. Places that physically enhance the experiences and at the same time evoke the echo of the stony reverberations of the underwater song of relief. Photographs are the result of underwater actions that I initiated and to which I gave in, both being in the pictures and took them. Through the meditative presence in these places, as well as through performatively repeated intimate practices, I recreate the path of return, restoring inner connections. Returning to the shore that is there, but at the same time is different.
