The scenario that presented itself to my eyes was depressing and disconcerting, difficult to understand, but above all to accept.
Shoes, cans, tyres, used bottles, beer cans and plastic chairs, this is how the beach of Licola Mare, a popular seaside resort west of Naples, looked on a Sunday morning in March this year.
