Dave Benett – Kate Moss, 2011
Dave Benett (b.1958), born in Mauritius, began his career in the 70s, specialising in news and sports photography before concentrating exclusively on entertainment.
Armed with a Nikon camera, Benett reports on art and the colloquially called ‘showbiz’ industries. He became adept at getting a great shot in spite of the circumstances, of grabbing a picture that would flatter a celebrity without inconveniencing them. The momentum of taking that photograph is special, a unique snapshot of an experience. Bennett developed the ultimate expertise to catch and create history through his camera lens, creating iconic images that remain timeless and exceptional.
