I was born and raised in Prague. After receiving East german ‘Praktica’ camera from my parents as a child, I immediately fell in love with the art of photography and spent my teenage years consumed by the camera and its ability to capture and redefine moments in time. After becoming disillusioned by the ideals of the former Czechoslovakian regime, I fled and spent years discovering Western Europe and later New York. My imagery reflects both the dark romanticism of my childhood and the dreamy optimism of my life’s journey behind it. This juxtaposition of dark and light creates a unique style that has become my signature. My commercial work appeared in many leading fashion magazines and fashion brands around the world. I was recently awarded by one man show at the prestigious National Gallery of Czech Republic in Prague.
The current Covid-19 situation kept me in a lock down in my home town, Prague and I have created a series of photographs capturing some moments from life in this historic capital of the Czech republic. ( The shown images are from that collection) .
