Mois de la Photo OFF 2014 : “Avers et revers sensible” à la Topographie de l’art

Preview

L’Espace Topographie invited photographer Catherine Rebois to curate the exhibition Avers et revers sensible (“The Obverse and Reserve of Perception”) and to design the accompanying catalogue.

The exhibition aims to initiate a dialogue about le sensible, a philosophical idea regarding what can be felt and perceived. This exhibition shows how each of the participating photographers responds to this question, as well as how visitors respond to their work. Not everything related to le sensible is necessarily subjective. The goal here is to objectively consider the different paths these artists take to examine perception, emotion, reality and experience through a work of art. How is le sensible expressed through photography? In order to continue this dialogue, a roundtable will be held on November 29th.
