Laura Poitras : Nan Goldin : All the Beauty And The Bloodshed

Preview

All the Beauty And The Bloodshed, a documentary by Laura Poitras on Nan Goldin arrives in theaters and will be available in streaming on March 15, 2023.

All the Beauty And The Bloodshed is a dive into the world of Nan Goldin, her work and her fights, her artistic and political fights, driven by friendship, humanism and emotion.

Major photographer of her generation, recognized today throughout the world, Nan Goldin has always strived to reveal to the world the real, the intimate, the often hidden realities: addiction to drugs and alcohol, sex violence, the ravages of AIDS.

The film takes us to the heart of her work, and also closer to the activist journey that she led in parallel with her life as a photographer, concerning the opiate crisis in the United States.

An immense artist, Nan Goldin is also a tireless activist who, for years, has fought against the Sackler family, responsible for the opiate crisis in the United States and around the world.
