IN CARNE
In a world that claims to be uninhibited and unapologetic, proclaiming its freedom of gender, sexual orientation, and body size, sexual and sensual attributes remain shocking and banned from images. The oversaturation of visual information makes us forget that our bodies, before being captured in 2D by photography, are first and foremost sculpted by light and their surroundings.
IN CARNE is a collaboration between model and photographer who seek together to show the power of the body without exaggerating the gaze by over-sexualizing it.
How can the naked body defocus the voyeuristic gaze through gesture and interaction with the viewer?
IN CARNE revisits the ancestral myths embedded in our body language and unconscious movements.
