The Sentinels
In this photographic work, I have isolated corn stalks. They inhabit the roadside with indifference. At regular intervals, they take the form of fields that are proposed to colonize. Their slender shape and alignment made me think of cohorts of soldiers. By isolating them photographically, they make me think of sentinels. In terms of texture, the rendering I wanted is close to the notion of paper, a kind of natural origami shaped by the wind.
