Todd Webb‘s new book has been released by Damiani Publishing. It is presented as follows:
Paris: A Love Story 1948–1952 is a visual narrative of a meeting—between a man and a city, between a photographer and his rediscovered vision of the world. After a difficult period in New York, Todd Webb moved to a Paris still marked by war but brimming with life. The light, the atmosphere, and the rhythm of the city immediately captivated him. With a Leica always around his neck and a keen eye, he began documenting hidden courtyards, workshops, forgotten passageways, markets, and everyday moments, focusing on ordinary people: artisans, shopkeepers, children on the street. At the same time, he was deeply drawn to the signs of time: decaying buildings, weathered signs, torn posters.
It was also during these Parisian years that Webb found love: he met Lucille, a bright and independent American woman, who soon became his wife and life partner.
