The projet is about ‘The international meetings of photography’ in Arles, in 2018. It’s about the town itself, its buildings, its locations, its sites, its shadows and, eventually, the southern France summer light.
It’s about the places where photographies are exposed, dwelling silently with time. It’s about the darkness of the rooms. The white. The corridors, the artificial lights. It’s about rust and dust. Windows and whatever people left around. It’s about peeling walls and scraped off wooden doors. Cracks, leaks, holes and gaps. It’s on the silence of the perpetual work of time. History and its sudden omission.
It’s about the ephemeral passage of pictures in town, discreet and respectful of the sacred popularity of the place.
