“Don’t Forget to Love” is a series dedicated to examining the vital role of love and empathy in contemporary society. Photographed by Lagos-based photographer Bade Fuwa, the work showcases his ability to weave emotion into visual storytelling.
Staged against the natural backdrops of nature that balance raw intimacy with surrealist symbolism, the imagery explores human vulnerability. By choreographing a quiet dialogue between the subjects and their immediate space, the collection isolates fleeting moments of internal peace, emotional stillness, and ancestral resonance amidst chaotic external landscapes. The work operates as a visual mirror, questioning how contemporary spaces shape or fracture our inherent capacity for connection.
The entire series strictly maintains absolute in camera authenticity by rejecting digital artifice, composite rendering, or heavy digital manipulation. Every image relies on exact, real-time spatial positioning, capturing raw psychological truths directly through the lens in an uncompromised physical environment. This process is further defined by the deliberate choreography of natural light, using natural and atmospheric environments to sculpt form and establish depth. Light is treated not just as an exposure tool, but as an active emotional character within the frame casting soft, high contrast shadows that mirror the internal psychological states of the subjects.
