Echoes of Architecture & Shadows and Silences

These are 2 series of photos, unfortunately my complete series have fewer photos, however you can find the complete series on my website and from there you can also download them: alessandrochiariniphotography.com The first complete series is entitled: ECHOES OF ARCHITECTURE “With this series of photos I wanted to explore new ways of seeing things as they really are. We all look at things in a standardized, elementary way, I wanted to go further. I broke down the architectural forms, divided them into 2 exactly equal parts, selecting from life what interested me and what I wanted to eliminate. They are photos conceived and imagined already during the shooting phase and then simply joined together in a new form, certainly unlikely but possible, I tried to create new architectures of pure aesthetic form, through a journey into a parallel reality of an alien universe where everything is possible.”

The second (incomplete) series is titled:SHADOWS AND SILENCES “I walk through places where time bends, where light touches without revealing. The forest holds its breath, the cliff dissolves the edge. And in between, a figure—suspended between before and after, between memory and forgetting. A shadow wrapped in fabric, faceless, nameless, moving like an omen, or perhaps an echo. A passage or a return? A flight or a ritual?

I do not tell stories; I whisper them. I capture the silence of a movement interrupted, the tremor of an uncrossed threshold. The figure is present yet distant, caught in a mute dialogue with the wind, with the roots, with the stone. In this suspended space, the boundary between body and landscape fades, leaving only an impression, a fragment, a trace.

What remains of an apparition when the gaze looks away? Who walks among the trees, who brushes against the air, who lingers in the void? Perhaps it is only the illusion of presence, or perhaps it is the reflection of the observer.

There is no answer, only a pulse, an absence that breathes. Perhaps that is where everything begins.”
