Over the past 50 years I have built a reputation in photography through my exhibitions and portraits of famous people in the world of art and culture. I moved to New York City in 1984 and have been working there ever since. These photographs were made for myself, and with my various cameras, both film and digital, I captured places, situations and people everywhere in this city, that I totally fell in love with. I am showing these photographs from my private New York for the first time, and the title of the collection and the new book from Hirmer Verlag is, “New York City.
