Surfer Heaven
Rockaway Beach is as close to surfer heaven that you can find in New York City. Great sand and surf make for numerous scenes for multicultural groups, from friends to families. And the light is sharp and warm. I am always drawn to the juxtaposition of people, sand and surf, and here the urban backdrop serves as a visual reminder of where we are.
