Berlin. Farben einer Stadt, is a project wich was born in 2011 with the intention of documenting the kitschy, colorful and vibrant people’s fairs and festivals during the summer time in Berlin. It aims at a lesser-known side of the cultural “Melting Pot” that is the city of Berlin, as well as the tradition and immutability of these amusement places during time.
Born in Portugal in 1980, Renato Silva is currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. Freelance photographer since 2005, he has been working in some different photography areas. He’s a member of the Berlin Fotografen and the Transient Museum of Art and exhibits regularly since 2003.
