Object : FRANCE 24, International information network and RFI, international information radio station have created in 2009 the first prize for web documentary production in partnership with the photojournalism festival Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan. Through this prize, FRANCE 24 and RFI aim to promote a new form of information taking into consideration the possibilities offered by internet and the new media. This initiative falls within the strategy of FRANCE 24 and RFI, setting the pace on media innovators through the use of multimedia, new technologies, and the current innovative approaches. Open to everybody, this prize will reward a journalistic project, according to the choice, the original treatment of a current event through multimedia and Internet. The prize will involve a check for 8,000 euros. The jury will take into consideration the following selection criteria: -The subject chosen, -the journalistic approach to the subject, -the multimedia approach, -the quality of the production, – the interactivity. Candidates will be invited to innovate, advance or contribute on the reflection on a modern way of approaching news on the web.
