Paris City Hall : Yann Arthus-Bertrand : France, a family album

Preview

A message from Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, Monday, was the big day: the opening of the exhibition France, un album de famille.
It took place in the reception rooms of the Hôtel de Ville de Paris.

This is a photographic project I began over 30 years ago, with the aim of representing France and its people. My team and I have set up photo studios in over 80 locations across France and photographed nearly 30,000 people to highlight the diverse faces that make up our country. By partnering with demographer Hervé Le Bras, I was able to enrich this project with a demographic and educational dimension. A project that celebrates living together.

This exhibition is free and open to all, with reservations required on the Hôtel de Ville de Paris website. The VIP rooms of Hôtel de Ville de Paris, usually closed to the public, will be exceptionally transformed into a unique space: over 1,500 square meters of exhibition space, including Anne Hidalgo’s office.
