“Welcome in Arcs 1600, when nobody else is there !
The charm of mountains, the fresh air soften by the wild flowers growing on the winter’s skiing tracks. You’ll find it quiet in here, perfect for a good rest with a large view on the Alpes. If you need anything, enjoy the hike to the closest town at 2h by foot trough the forest, you may see some beautifull animals”.
That, could be a brochure for people willing to spend time in the ski station of “Arcs 1600” at the begining of september – Reality is it’s closed, nobody lives up there, everything seems frozen, as if the snow had never melted but became ice. I can still hear the echo of skiers through it.
