Perceval Press, Viggo Mortensen’s imprint for art, music, photography and poetry, has just published X – ON THE ROAD & AT THE CROSSROADS. In over 70 photographs, Michael Hyatt explores his decades-long relationship with Los Angeles punk band X. The book features iconic black and white images from the 1980s, as well as a selection of recent color images from the 2000s and during the band’s “The End is Near” tour in 2024. Hyatt’s vérité style captures the original and eclectic style of the band in candid moments on-and-off-stage. Veteran music journalist Chris Morris provided long-time and unique perspective to compliment Hyatt’s behind-the-scenes documentation of the ground-breaking legacy of X the Band.
