Les Filles de la Photo Mentorship program was created in response to L’Observatoire de la Mixité, which highlighted the disparity that exists between male and female photographers on their recognition journey.

Founded by three photography enthusiasts working in complementary universes, Marion Hislen – now Photography Delegate at the Ministry of Culture -, Chantal Nedjib, founder of the Image par Image agency, and Florence Moll, photographers agent , the association was able to quickly unite around its values and its projects.

To date, it has nearly 180 members representing 25 professions: art buyers, gallery owners, photographers’ agents, exhibition curators, iconographers, festival directors, creative directors, curators, press agents, journalists, communication directors. , sociologists, lecturers, historians, art critics, editors, scenographers, production managers, etc.

All eager to be “better informed in order to act better”, these women of mind, heart and action together wish to run a laboratory of ideas and use their influence to promote and defend photography.

Les Filles de la Photo have four main ambitions:

– Decompartmentalize the photography professions to better represent them.

– Promote photography to the public, institutions and the media.

– Encourage meetings to discover talents, professions, projects, places.

– Develop the influence of professionals and defend women and men photographers.

Les Filles de la Photo mentoring program was designed and organized by Julie Champin, art buyer and coordinator of cultural projects / Regard Suspended, Véronique Prugnaud, Associate Director / The Eyes and Corinna Schack, Photographers’ agent / Phom.
