Pierre Gable presents his series Les Imparfaits as follows:
Through this series, I photograph people who agree, for a fleeting moment, to let their masks drop.
Fragile faces, silent bodies, gazes that are sometimes elusive, sometimes surrendered.
I seek neither to correct nor to idealise.
I simply try to approach that part of humanity we so often conceal: the cracks, the hesitations, the marks of time, the vulnerability.
These “Imparfaits” are not on the margins. They look like us.
They remind us that imperfection is not an anomaly, but a way of being in the world — a profoundly human one.
This series was born from the desire to look differently — with respect, with discretion, without judgment — as close as possible to what remains when appearances fade away.
