Images and words on fragility.
Marked by the months spent in confinement, far from everything and nothing, alone with oneself, far from loved ones.
The poems are an ode to the fragility of the soul, the despair on the face of a world in distress.
A disturbing intimate gaze totally spitting in the face of the universe.
The reproduction technique used, traditional photo-engraving (photogravure), gives another meaning to the images, from the soft and vulnerable.
to these, transferred with force, almost violence, face first crushed against the paper, transport us from pain to softness, like some endless goosebumps wherethe soul is on the edge.
Series of 23 photogravures, rich in ink, that I will be exhibiting at the A. Piroir studio-gallery in Montreal from September 7 to October 9, 2021.
