A Year in Switzerland 1972
With this series, I explore an episode of my childhood.
This episode takes place precisely during the year 1972. At the time I was 8 years old and my parents put me in a boarding school in Switzerland, the Colibri, and they left to live in Africa. I stay there for one school year, that of CM1.
I have a fragmentary memory of this year. Over the years, my memories have become loaded with negative emotions.
I felt the need to reinvest this part of my story differently to develop a simplified version of this past and replace the missing story.
This work on words and images is an acceptance of the wounds of my childhood and an anchoring in my story.
