In the vibrant heart of Barcelona, just steps away from the golden sands and gentle waves, lie a few three calisthenics gyms. Perhaps not as well-known as Gaudi’s masterworks, but these places attract locals, expats, and travelers from diverse backgrounds to connect under the sun.
When I first visited the outdoor gym by the Barceloneta beach, this sense of community draws my attention. During my 6 weeks stay in the city, I revisited these gyms time and time again. This documentary series aims to illuminate these parks where the spirit of calisthenics thrives and where every rep, every stretch, and every shared laugh fosters a sense of belonging over the iron bars.
