Greenland / Kalaallit Nunaat
Since 2022, I have been working on a series of analog portraits in Greenland. My approach is deliberately sober and frontal, echoing the relationship Greenlanders maintain with their environment. The choice of analog photography is both esthetic and process-driven: it allows me to slow down and to establish a more direct relationship with the people I photograph.
From East to West, Greenlanders continue to practice hunting and fishing traditions, maintaining a close relationship with nature that shapes their way of life and their identity. Through these faces, I seek to make this intimate connection visible, without artifice or staging.
