Marcescent

After traveling the world, photographer Paul Strand made images in his garden in Orgeval.
From this anecdote was born the desire to immortalize the garden where I grew up and spent my life.
In a long, patient process, I searched for material, light and poetry.
This is the story of MARCESCENT. Silent, everyday images. Far from the spectacular brought back from the ends of the earth.
“Marcescent, like the foliage of an oak or beech, which all winter long, however yellowed or dry, clings to its tree.
I told myself fables, about birds and snails, I dreamed of escape, of winds that carry me far away.
There are more than colors and flowers in this garden without a gardener. There’s also poetry, which I’ve tried to capture.”
