The series depicts the transition of this ex-soviet country, from tradition to modernity. Through the strangers passing I met each day and the places I went through, I worked on the contrasts between a still strong attachment to the traditions especially in the most remote zones of the rural South that I visited, as Turkestan, and a rapid transition to modernity as visible in the main cities of the country like in Almaty.
