The mists of dawn
In the heart of Tuscany, the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, slowly awakens under the first light of day.
In November 2025, as the night withdraws, mist wraps around the hills and cypress trees, reshaping the landscape with every breath of light.
These photographs were taken very early, at the precise moment when the sun breaks through the mist and the horizon.
In the silence of dawn, forms emerge and then fade, lines dissolve, and a range of tones and colors gradually reveals itself: bluish grays, soft ochres, early golds, and veiled greens compose a subtle and shifting palette.
This series invites the viewer into a suspended moment between shadow and light, where the Val d’Orcia reveals its most intimate beauty.
