The Feast of St. Agatha
The Feast of St. Agatha is the most important religious festival in the city of Catania and the third most famous religious festival in the world. A crucial moment of the festival is when The Relics of the Saint travels through the city, stopping at the most significant points of its history. On this journey, which lasts from the evening to the following day, she is accompanied by countless faithful who, wearing white tunics, carry large candles on their shoulders;up to 40 kilos, turned on and taking care not to turn them off.
