Capturing Fleeting Moments

These pictures were taken in just half an hour near my neighborhood last week, at sunset, after a full day of work. Robert Doisneau once said, “The wonder of everyday life is always exciting; no film director could orchestrate the unexpected you discover on the street.” It’s true. I can’t remember how many times I’ve walked these streets, but each time feels like the first. Even if the background is the same, the characters, the scene, and the story are different. As Robert Doisneau said, “The photographer must be absorbent—like blotting paper, immersing himself in the poetic moment… His technique should be like that of an animal… He should act automatically.” In short, my pictures are able to speak for themselves. Just like Henri Cartier-Bresson once said, “Of course it’s all luck.” I will continue to follow in his footsteps, practicing authentic street photography and capturing decisive moments.
