The Or Bleu Festival association is launching its photography competition entitled “WATER IS NOT BLUE”.
True to its mission of raising awareness and engaging every citizen on the issue of water through the medium of photography, Or Bleu Festival, in partnership with the municipality of La Roche-Posay, is inviting the general public to take part in a major photo competition on the theme “Water is not blue”.
As a follow-up to the 2025 edition of the Or Bleu Festival Photo, the association aims to create an event accessible to as many people as possible, across all generations, with the winning entries to be exhibited in large format in the courtyard of the town’s keep from 11 July to 27 September 2026.
This competition invites each participant to take an original, artistic, scientific or socially engaged look at water, moving beyond its traditional representation.
Water can be transparent, green, red, white, brown, black, silvery or multicoloured, whether it is a natural phenomenon, a play of light, an urban setting or a transformation linked to human activities.
Photographs will be judged on their relevance to and interpretation of the theme, their artistic and aesthetic quality, their creativity and originality, as well as their technical skill; each image must be accompanied by a title and a short explanatory text.
Entries are open until 31 May and can be submitted directly online via the Or Bleu Festival website: www.orbleu-festivalphoto.fr, where the full competition rules and terms and conditions are available.
