Patrick Taberna gradually builds a work that merges with his life and that of his family. An existence that would be ordinary if it were not woven of travel and photography.
It is indeed with the youth trips, inspired by readings and correspondences with writers and photographers (Bouvier, Plossu, Frank …), that began this long continuation photographs that gently follow the family history: the birth of children, Clément and Héloïse, their appearance in the images alongside Sylvie, the companion of always, to come finally, in this late season, to approach the shores of the fifty, with the inevitable anxiety of the future, the age that advances and closes the possibilities, but also the discovery of an autumnal beauty, that brings maturity.
