A German citizen of Jewish faith, Fred Stein left Nazi Germany for France in 1933 and moved to Paris. After several years working with Parisian intellectual, artistic and activists circles, the photographer emigrated to the United States in 1941. He settled in New York and is fascinated by his new adopted city…
