Images form a memory, a story or history over time.
In these images there are thirteen years between the first photo and the most recent. My son Clement was 4 years old when he appeared in ‘Arles, 2004’. In ‘La Haye, 2017’ he is 17.
This series is dedicated to him.
I’ve been following in his footsteps over the last thirteen years, recording through photographs a memory of the subtle changes that are invisible on a day-to-day basis that took him from childhood to adulthood.
We all have an inner child that emerges from time to time, and images serve as proof, as a means of recourse: ‘that was me when I was little’…
Life goes on under the same changeable yet unchangeable sky over which time has no control.
Photographs are stepping stones to the past.
