I tell human stories, explore unique lifestyles, and document extraordinary lives — from marginalized communities to extreme subcultures. Over the past decade, I’ve photographed revolutionary youth in Iran, women fighters on the Donbas front in Ukraine, transgender and queer communities in Pakistan and Belarus, gang life in Guatemala, street rappers in Detroit, New York, and Baltimore, child labor in Ghana, alcoholism in Greenland, life in ghettos in Jamaica, victims of arson in the Amazon, drag queens in Cuba, families living in cemeteries in the Philippines, and many other stories that challenge stereotypes and reveal hidden beauty in human resilience.
Through my photography and talks, I bring audiences closer to these realities. I share photographs and videos from my travels, introducing my most challenging and memorable experiences — from witnessing exorcisms in Ethiopia to environmental destruction in the Amazon, from underground LGBTQ+ life in Belarus to life in slums in India and Nepal. I want people to see more than an image; I want them to experience the lives behind it.
