I’m a 65 year old Romanian living in Paris since 1993. I do have now the French nationality. In Bucharest, many, many years ago, after graduating from the Art Academy, had ran away as quick as I could from the Ceausescu’s paradise. It was 1972.
I can say that I’m a self taught photographer. My first photos were those of my friends and Academy colleagues. They were the only works I was allowed to take with me, as they were considered as valueless by the border guards. I would like to share them with you.
I called this series “The Time Machine” because whenever I look at them, they take me more than 45 years back.
