Bikershot is an ongoing collection of portraits of motorcycle riders started in 2010 but more than that, this personal description of the motorcycle sub-culture delves into ideas of masculinity.
Including mostly men in Europe it is neither a scientific description of a community and its inherent codes nor a journalistic journey. It pushes boundaries and puts an emphasis on each personality hidden inside the leather jacket, hunting the emotional and uniqueness of those bikers, far away from the archetypes conveyed by medias. Yes, bikers are part of a tribe. Yes, brands, style and behaviours are the grammar defining their language, but each of them has a unique syntax that is worth it to be deciphered. Getting into this specific linguitsics is therefore an iterative process where each portrait is built on the previous one and sets the tone for the next one.
