Various subjects created by artificial intelligence are sent to us. Baudelaire incarné par l’IA : Errances Spectrales, published under the name Nerval Photographe, is one of those that caught our attention. It is presented as follows:
I explore a disjointed dialogue between photography and text. Each black-and-white image acts as a silent matrix. The words do not illustrate the image — they echo its fracture.
The writing is generated by an AI, based on my photographs. It doesn’t think. It reconstructs. It tries to utter the unutterable, in a language haunted by spleen and disappearance.
This is not a tribute to Baudelaire. It is a book where language cracks, where poetry returns like a ghost, refracted through the cold surface of the machine.
The book is scheduled for release in spring 2025. The project is signed Nerval Photographer.
